“The soul grows into lovely habits as easily as into ugly ones, and the
moment a life begins to blossom into beautiful words and deeds, that
moment a new standard of conduct is established, and your eager
neighbors look to you for a continuous manifestation of the good cheer,
the sympathy, the ready wit, the comradeship, or the inspiration, you
once showed yourself capable of. Bear figs for a season or two, and the
world outside the orchard is very unwilling you should bear thistles.”

The first habit is KINDNESS. (An interesting post)
I have (again) stolen the text from this great site but that's only to allow any readers to follow and read more. I know what the habit is and I know what I am going to do to try and pursue it.
From that site:
"Yes, kindness is a habit. And it can be cultivated. Focus on it every day for a month and you’ll see profound changes in your life. You’ll feel better about yourself as a person. You’ll see people react to you differently and treat you better, over the long run. It’s karma.
How do you develop the kindness habit? First, make it a goal to do something kind for someone each day. At the beginning of the day, figure out what that kind act will be and then do it during the day. Second, each time you interact with someone, try to be kind, be friendly, be compassionate. Third, try to go beyond small kindnesses to larger acts of compassion, volunteering to help those in need and taking the initiative to relieve suffering."
I am going to be using the following sites to help.
